Therapy for Tweens, Teens & Young Adults in California & Oregon

Whether you’re a tween, teen, young adult—or the parent of one—this stage of life can be exciting, confusing, overwhelming, and everything in between. Maybe you're noticing that it's become harder to focus, keep up with responsibilities, or manage big emotions. You might be feeling anxious, stuck, overwhelmed by academic pressure, struggling with friendships or family relationships, questioning who you are, or finding that sadness and self-doubt have become harder to shake. Sometimes these struggles show up quietly through withdrawal and isolation; other times they look like irritability, conflict, or acting in ways that don't quite feel like yourself. For some young people, these struggles can also include thoughts of self-harm or suicide, and it's important to know that support is available for those experiences, too. Whatever brings you here, you don't have to navigate it alone.

I also have experience supporting young people in divorced or single-parent households, those with adopted siblings, and families impacted by substance abuse. I see many young LGBTQIA+ people and love supporting them as they explore their identities and navigate the social and emotional complexities of being queer in today's world.

I’ve worked with children, tweens, and teens in various roles since I was young myself—through volunteering, babysitting, youth ministries and teaching swimming lessons. I take pride in my ability to connect with young people in a way that bridges the generational gap, allowing us to explore the trials and tribulations of growing up in an era of immense pressure and expectation.

I especially enjoy working with teenagers as they transition into early adulthood, toeing the line between their intense craving for independence and their natural need for deep connection with family and friends. Many of my clients begin seeing me in middle school and continue with me through their college years and beyond. Being able to journey with them from childhood into adulthood is one of my greatest joys as a therapist.

If you're a tween, teen, young adult—or the parent of one—in California or Oregon, I'd love the opportunity to connect and see whether we're a good fit.
